CCMT has several faculty who work on different aspects of the far-from-equilibrium physics of classical and quantum systems. The work carried out employs a combination of analytical and numerical techniques in equal measure and is closely guided by experiments. Specific topics of research include glasses, fluid turbulence, active matter, theory of time-resolved studies of condensed-matter and cold-atom systems, driven quantum systems, Many-Body Localization, $\mathcal{PT}$ symmetric systems and scrambling in quantum systems.
