Supernova Feedback and Galactic Winds

Recently, along with my collaborators, I have started working on the influence of supernovae on the global properties of the interstellar medium (ISM). We are working on several aspects related to supernovae: various numerical implementations of supernova feedback and their strengths/drawbacks (mainly in presence of cooling); transition from isolated supernovae to a superbubble driven by correlated supernovae; fundamental differences between isolated supernovae and correlated ones; breakout of a superbubble from a gas disk and its implications.
